“You have to wake up now.” – Peppermint Movie

Peppermint MovieThe only reason I wanted to see this movie is Jennifer Garner.

Do your remember her first TV prime-time debut in a show called Alias? She was a freaking badass in that TV show and I loved her in that role.

Since then she has started doing more and more family movies such as 13 Going on 30, Catch & Release, Miracles from Heaven, Love Simon.

Her last big action movie, that I can remember, was Elektra in 2005.

Jennifer Garner is born to play roles like her role in Peppermint. It was the PERFECT fit for her!

If you don’t know much about the movie, here is the synopsis from the Web:

Riley North awakens from a coma after surviving a brutal attack that killed her husband and daughter. When the system shields the murderers from justice, Riley sets out to transform herself from citizen to urban guerrilla. Channeling frustration into motivation, the young widow spends years in hiding — honing her mind, body and spirit to become an unstoppable force. Eluding the underworld, the police and the FBI, Riley embarks on a deadly quest to deliver her own personal brand of punishment.

Peppermint Movie

Garner plays a soccer Mom turned assassin with no hesitation. She is AMAZING. Her fighting skills are completely natural and she really kicks some butt.

I will say the writing and makeup need some work in the film, but other than that it is really good. The weaponry choices are diverse and Garner knows how to use them!

Peppermint MovieNo. Hesitation!

The whole theater was busting up laughing watching Garner take out the bad guys like a regular Bruce Willis. Nothing to it.

I would recommend this film if you have ever liked Jennifer Garner in action roles and if you like a good entertaining action movie. I really hope Jennifer Garner will do more films like this where she can showcase her training. She is awesome!
