the Ipsy glam bag

This was my very first Ipsy glam bag! So many of my friends have tried Ipsy and I finally decided to see what it was all about. Was there any value? Yes! I loved it!

If you haven’t heard of Ipsy, it’s basically a beauty bag subscription that will cost you $10 a month. Each month they send you a glam bag of 5 beauty products that are a little larger than sample size. Plus a cute makeup bag. You can tailor your products to your taste by completing their simple questionnaire when you sign up. After sampling the products, you can get up to 70% off purchasing the ones you love.

I was unsure about trying this because I am typically a minimalist with my beauty products. I rarely try new things and will even use a product until they discontinue it, forcing me to try something else. I just don’t want to waste money trying new products that I may not even like. However, with Ipsy I can try new things without the cost of buying the full product. It really works great for me!

My favorite product in this bag was by far the mascara by IT Cosmetics. It works awesome! I loved the lotion as well, and even the lipstick was my shade.

One thing to consider when signing up for Ipsy is that it takes some time. I signed up my subscription on 10/27/15 and then they put me on a waiting list. They said I could move up in the list by sharing my subscription on social media. However, I decided to wait it out and see how long it took. I finally got my first bag in December. So unless you are willing to tell Facebook about your new subscription, be willing to wait a month or two to get your first bag.
