start a daily gratitude practice

Do you have a daily gratitude practice? I started one exactly one year ago.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My goal was to find spend my day more grateful and joyful and all of the experts recommended adding a morning gratitude practice to your routine.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was hard because that meant I had to wake up early…once I tackled that challenge, which took about 3 months of slapping snooze!!, I was able to get out of bed and write down some words.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just three – five things that I had been grateful for the day before. I couldn’t tell if I saw any difference for a while but slowly, I began to become grateful during my day. And when you are grateful there is no room for comparison, judgement, or self hate.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Writing down what I’m grateful for in the morning has become a habit now and it’s the best part of my day. When you fill your heart of joy and love before turning on the news, or waking up your kids! (Haha) it sets your mind up for success.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So try this – write down three – five things your grateful for every morning. Just try it!! I promise you will see a difference in your life.
