new favorites – Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer

The temperatures are getting warmer which means you’re probably showing a little more skin. This time of year I’m always blinded by my pale self when I put on that first pair of shorts or a tank top. Yikes! And since it’s not warm enough yet to throw on a bathing suit and soak up some real sun, I like to turn to a quick self tanner.
I’ve tried a lot of self tanning methods over the years. From cheap to expensive, sprays to lotions, and all kinds of trendy fixes. Through all of that I’ve found that Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer is by far my favorite. This is the second season that I’ve used it, and I always get great results.
The other self tanners that I’ve tried are always extremely messy, smelly, too orange, and way too hard to apply. Either my hands turn orange or my knees and ankles look entirely abnormal and blotchy. Not to mention strong smells and the wrong color. Even the after-apply is annoying because you have to wait for it to dry for fear of staining your clothes. It can be a whole process, and I don’t have time for all of that!
Jergens Natural Glow is used as a Daily Moisturizer and I think this makes all of the difference. It is so gradual that you don’t have to worry about over doing it and looking fake. It dries really fast and I’ve never had a problem using it before getting ready for the day. It smells great and moisturizes my skin while adding a soft natural looking glow. The price is right too at only $6 or $7 a bottle. Why spend more on name brand to get the same great tan at a more affordable price?
Some tricks I’ve discovered while using Jergens Natural Glow:
*Be sure to exfoliate a few times before applying the first coat
*If your winter skin is fairly dry, moisturize with a regular moisturizer first before applying the tanning lotion
*Use sparingly on your knees and elbows. I apply to my knees and elbows the first time, and then skip them the second.
*Wash you hands with soap after applying (although I’ve never stained them using Jergens)
Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer provides a gradual soft glow. It may take using it 2-3 times before you see a real difference. I barley notice the difference when I’m using it, until someone I see all of the time asks me where I got my tan. The picture above is after about 6 times this season. Typically I use it 3-4 times a week for the best results.
