how i use self doubt

My story is picking up and I was able to knock out 2313 words this morning 🙌🏻 I’m going to be honest, I have a lot of self doubt when I write. I have to tell myself repeatedly “just get the words out, you can fix them later.” I tell myself over and over “don’t stop, keep going, just write.” And then I have to tell myself, “you’ll know how to fix it because you’ve done this before.”
It’s hard! It’s hard to keep going, it’s hard to not question myself, it’s hard not to tell myself I’m a bad writer, and this is a stupid book. It’s hard to believe in myself and my abilities.
But if I flip the script, if I see my self doubt as a tool, I can turn my attitude around and keep going. If I tell myself my self doubt will push me to be a better writer, it’ll push me to create better work, I can use it to my advantage. If I turn my self doubt into something positive then I win every time.
Whatever it is you’re questioning about yourself, turn it around and believe its a tool working FOR you. Use it to your advantage. Trust you have the tools because you’ve done this before. Trust in your abilities. Keep going and I’m going to keep writing. Let’s see where we go! 😘
