doing that one thing you wish you could do

Is there something you’ve been wishing to do but never seem to make it happen? For me, it was dropping the kids off at school and going to Red Horn Coffee house to write.
I’ve been wanting to do that one thing for at least two years. I always seem to squeeze in writing time in the afternoon, but the morning?! Forget about it!
But today…today was the day I made it happen. It took a lot of work! I had to work overtime Monday and Tuesday to get everything in place for me to have my morning off. I had to tell my boss (who happens to be my husband) that I was taking the morning to write. I had to get up early to put on jeans and brush my hair, which was way different then driving the kids to school in the sweatpants I slept in and a bun.
But I did it! Today I did it. Which means I know it’s possible. And because I did it, I wrote 1,692 words this morning on my new novel. My goal is to finish this book by the end of May, which is pretty ambitious considering it took me two years to write my first book. But I’m not going to give up. I’m going to make this happen because it’s important to me.
What is the one thing you wish you could do? How can you make it happen? See it. Plan it. And do it. Just Once. Try it. I’m with you!
