This year I decided to try something a little different than my usual gift sacks and cards for Christmas. The gift basket!

The gift basket is great because you can fill it full of goodies, decorate it, and the actual basket is a part of the gift. Below are some of the baskets I put together for my family and friends this year. These are for Christmas, but you can do a gift basket for any occasion.

Baskets are so handy to have around the house. If you want to stay organized, having plenty of baskets and hooks in your home is the golden rule. You can find all sorts of baskets at At Home or Hobby Lobby that are less than $20.

Small baskets are great for Aunts and Uncles, Grandparents, Cousins, Teachers, or even friends. My baskets are filled with a Christmas Tree ornament, candy, candles, and other small treats. These baskets are from At Home and cost around $7. They come in all colors and sizes.

You can use a basket like this one for any little children in your life. This one is for my nephew. This basket will be great for storage in his room!

This basket is for my baby niece and will also look great in her nursery. It’s the perfect size for gifts like little toys and boxes of clothes. You can add a little coordinating gift sack for hard to wrap items.

This basket didn’t have a whole lot of room for a small gift sack for some hard to wrap items. Instead, I just wrapped the items in tissue paper and placed them inside the basket. Worked just as well!

I found this larger basket at At Home. They have a ton of Christmas basket options for you there.  This one is a good size for larger gifts or a bunch of small ones. Great for Mom’s!

This oversized gray basket can hold larger gifts as well. I have two gift sacks in here,  plus a large box and multiple small boxes. I had to layer gift boxes on the bottom of this one to add height.
